Data Deletion Policy

If you would like NetRef Safety to delete the personal data we hold about you in connection with the Whistle platform, you can request deletion at any time using the steps below.

How to Request Deletion

  1. Email us. Send a deletion request to privacy@netrefsafety.com from the email address associated with your Whistle account. Let us know you’d like your data deleted, and include your account username or any other detail that helps us locate your account.
  2. We confirm receipt. We will confirm that we’ve received your request within 5 business days.
  3. We complete deletion. We will delete your data within 30 days of receiving your request and will notify you once deletion is complete.

When we delete your data, we remove the personal data associated with your account, including the content we have collected and analyzed on your behalf, classification records, evidence bundles, and records of moderation actions.

In limited cases, we may need to retain certain information beyond your deletion request — for example, where we are required to keep it to comply with a legal obligation, or in connection with evidence you have already exported and submitted to a platform or law enforcement. If any such exception applies, we will tell you what we are retaining and why.

Other Ways to Manage Your Data

Deletion isn’t your only option. You can also:

Disconnect your account:
Revoke Whistle’s access to your social media account at any time without deleting your historical data.

Request a copy of your data:
Email privacy@netrefsafety.com to request an export of your data before deletion.

For more detail on these options, see our full Privacy Policy.
